I have been going to Adobo taco for over 5 years. Why it doesn't have more than 2000 reviews I don't understand. This place is amazing, foot traffic is consistent, regardless of the time or day. This is the first place I have tried a Vampiro and I am so glad I did. Because no other place compares. The service is great. Customer service is good too. And I have read the reviews about the shrimp burrito. Which I will definitely try. Thank you Adobo Taco, you do look like a hole in the wall place and I hope you stay that way.

The reviews are spot on. We tried Adobo for the first time on Sunday and the food was fantastic. I ordered 3 different street taco (asada, pollo, and pastor. All three were wonderful with the asada being my favorite. They served on a warm tortilla and you had many options to choose from in their self serve salsa and pickled veg bar(including very tasty beans). My friend ordered an asada burrito...was jammed full of meat, beans and some veggies(it also got great reviews). Located in a strip mall, the venue is a bit tight on seating but it seemed like the tables turned fast. Service was friendly and efficient and the prices were a good value. We will be back....must try if you are in the area and looking for solid Mexican food.

Oh my goodness, the tacos and burritos here are absolutely amazing! This place is seriously the best taco spot in all of Bellflower! They make their corn tortillas by hand, which is just fantastic for that authentic taste. Plus, there's a salsa bar that makes everything even more fun! I can't recommend this place enough for its delicious food!

Somewhat of a hidden gem in the border of Cerritos and Lakewood! Always a good option. The meat is not dry and tortillas are delicious! Our favorites are the cabeza, lengua, and adobada tacos.

I stopped by Adobo again after my pre-registration at the Lakewood Medical Regional Center yesterday so I could order the shrimp taco that my wife loved so much the last visit. I decided to order a shrimp burrito for good measure as well. I wasn't overly impressed with my lengua burrito last time. A good sized burrito with tender meat but it was a bit bland even using the 2 salsas from the bar. The bite of shrimp taco my wife gave me was so much more delicious I knew I'd have to return for that. The flan is definitely a deal at $2.89 but it wasn't quite my cup of tea either. I thought the consistency was a bit runny and it wasn't very sweet. I don't like things that are overly sweet but this was a bit too far on the other side of the scale. This visit just hit it out of the ballpark. The shrimp taco with red salsa was a wonderful starter. Then when I got to the shrimp burrito with rice and beans, oh my Lord. Every bite is loaded with shrimp. There may be some who might say there are too many shrimp. Nay I say! This was shrimp heaven as far as I'm concerned. If you love shrimp, RUN to Adobo and order this gastronomical masterpiece of a burrito. Maybe sample the 2 salsas to see which you prefer but I'm pretty sure one will tickle your fancy. The green does have more kick so if heat doesn't turn you on, you may want to go with the other. They also have a hotpot of beans at the condiment bar if that's your thing. Someone there raved about them but they didn't really float my boat. To each their own. My next trip will be for the vampiros shrimp. I can't wait to sink my teeth into one of those.

Had this place bookmarked on Yelp for a bit now and finally made my way over there today. SO glad I did because I found my new favorite burrito place! Based on a review I read, I ordered the Asada & Pastor burrito. I chose to get it without onions, cilantro or salsa BUT added cheese, guac and sour cream. I know that's not for everyone but it was DELICIOUS!! The meats were SUPER flavorful and it all went together so well. I knew the food was going to be good because of how busy this small place was. There's not a lot of places to sit but the kind staff was bustling around keeping up with the orders and high demand of the salsa bar. I very much look forward to returning to Adobo and maybe trying something new.

Adobo isn't really a hidden gem since it's highly recommended on yelp, but it feels like one and definitely deserves the credit that it has. I've been to Adobo a couple of times and there's always been an empty table. Foot traffic is pretty consistent, but it's never been ridiculously packed. Staff is nice. I haven't had any issues and have had some friendly interactions. Meat tacos are solid. (I'm not a big fan of the shrimp though.) This is also the first place that I've ever had a vampiro. I daydream of them sometimes. Mexican sodas are available as drink options. They have a grab your own sauce/veggie (and beans in a crockpot) stand and offer free grilled onions (half an onion) and jalapeños upon request. There are no restrooms.

Adobo is an absolute gem if you love Mexican food, and my frequent visits over the years have only solidified my love for this place. The consistency and quality of their food options never disappoint. Every item on the menu is a must-try, but my go-to choices are the asada tacos and vampiros. The vampiros, served on a tostada with your choice of meat, guacamole, and sour cream, are simply irresistible. Their shrimp tacos, vampiros, and burritos are also exceptional. One of the standout features at Adobo is their condiment cart, stocked with all the essentials to enhance your meal. You can load up on onion and cilantro, a variety of salsas, pickled onions (cebollas en vinagre), limes, jalapeños, and even help yourself to a pot of hot pinto beans, all free of charge. These extras elevate an already mouth-watering experience. To quench your thirst, Adobo offers an array of beverages, including bottled and canned Coke, Jarritos, horchata, and Jamaica. Whether you choose to dine in or take out, the restaurant's small, cozy setting adds to the charm. The efficient service ensures that your food arrives promptly, and you can even watch as it's freshly prepared right in front of you. Located in a shopping center with plenty of parking, Adobo stands out among the other eateries. Once you try their food, you'll likely find yourself coming back again and again, just as I have. For a true taste of Mexican cuisine, Adobo is the place to go. You won't be disappointed, and you'll keep coming back for more.
